Welcome to Cleveland Catholic Cemeteries
The Catholic Cemeteries Association (Diocese of Cleveland) exists to meet the needs of individuals and parishes in The Diocese of Cleveland in preparation for, at the time of, and following the death event. The ministry we provide extends into the areas of liturgy, prayer, comfort, support, grief and evangelization. That same ministry is rooted in the reality of the human person as an embodied spirit. That embodiment is sacred, for it locates the human spirit in history and in place.
NOTICE
In order to promote a safe environment for all visitors and employees, Section 9(D)(4) of the Rules and Regulations of the Catholic Cemeteries Association (CCA) prohibits the use of pins or stake for the placement of winter crosses on a grave.
Metal pins and stakes that are left behind when the winter crosses are removed have caused damage to cemetery equipment and injury.
As of November 2009, all crosses with pins and stakes will be removed and placed in the storage rack for pickup. If the cross is returned to the grave in contravention of the above rule, the CCA reserves the right to discard the winter cross.
THE CCA IS TAKING THIS STEP IN ITS CONTINUING EFFORT TO PROMOTE THE SAFETY OF OUR VISITORS AND EMPLOYEES.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. |
